SB1024 among the other 8 zoning bills were voted out of (Passed) Planning & Development Committee today, but with the most egregious parts gutted! Watch Representative Dubitsky (R-Canterbury)’s strong and passionate testimony today refuting DesegregateCT’s assertions that racial make-up of communities is driven by land and housing value – a classic example of “correlation does not imply causation”.
We will share with you what’s left in the bills and how to oppose them before going to a General Assembly floor vote. We need to be vigilant now more than ever. SB804 is still alive and well in the Housing Committee with the same language!
